December 9, 2012

AppStore         Google Play

The Digital October Center for new technologies and technological entrepreneurship presented its own smartphone and tablet app for iOS and Android devices to guests of the TechCrunch Moscow 2012 conference.

The app helps people keep up-to-date with the latest high-tech trends, as well as conferences and lectures at Digital October. The app also provides a calendar of all the forthcoming events, including the schedule and speaker list, as well as letting users register for events and see which of their friends on social networks are attending. Users can “Like” events on Facebook and Check in to Digital October on Foursquare. The app also supports Twitter, VKontakte and LinkedIn.

With the Digital October app, users can watch live webcasts or recordings of previous events. Viewers can select both the language and stream quality (standard or HD).

The built-in map, which includes directions to the nearest car park, helps users find their way to Digital October, while the auditorium and conference room plan helps people find their way around when inside.

The next app update will include a number of new features: site and event section navigation, as well as a “Favorites” function so users can quickly assess the events, webcasts, photos and speakers they’re most interested in. Furthermore, users will be able to create event announcements using the branding of the company organizing the event.

The Digital October app can be downloaded free from the AppStore and Google Play.
