Moscow technology incubator program and API Moscow accelerator kick-off
On April 15 the Digital October Center hosted a presentation of the upcoming release of the start-up accelerator API Moscow, located in one of the buildings in the Red October complex. The accelerator will accept young domestic and foreign IT companies recommended by accredited Russian and international business incubators.
The accelerator is being created as part of a City of Moscow target program and will become the first of many incubator platforms focused on a variety of tech sectors: neurobionics, biopharmaceuticals and others.
API Moscow will be built on the motto “kill fast or grow fast:” beneficiaries will immediately be provided with highly concentrated development resources in order to quickly determine whether or not it is worth extending them a long-term offer of support. In the future the accelerator may provide financing for start-ups that have already secured investments from other professional players on the market.
The city program geared toward incubating technology was developed at the behest of Sergey Sobyanin, Mayor of Moscow, and directed to create a support mechanism in the city for budding innovative companies as well as a significant increase in the number of projects that might interest venture capitalists in Moscow.
