A Discussion of Issues in Venture Journalism
On November 9th, the Digital October held Russia’s first closed discussion of issues in venture journalism.
The discussion participants were Russian venture capitalists and journalists who write about the venture business, startups, and the IT industry. The discussion covered exclusive stories about the venture market, where to look for news about innovations, what you need to know about startups, and how to write a good article about them. In addition, the venture fund Softline Venture Partners presented the results of a study, “E-Commerce 2030,” conducted as part of an OPORA Russia foresight project called “Development of Small and Medium Entrepreneurship till 2020-2040.” Guests at the event included experts from Fast Lane, Foresight Ventures, Pulsar Ventures, xMillion Capital Ventures, Farminers, and other companies and funds.
The event was held with the financial support of RVC JSC, Softline Venture Partners, and Synergy University, as well as OPORA IT, a nonprofit organization that supports small and medium sized business. The discussion organizer is Paper Planes New Media & Digital Agency.
