Russian Startup Rating 2013 Is Now Accepting Applications
The Digital October Center is proud to announce that it is currently accepting applications from new IT, high-tech, and biotech companies to participate in Russian Startup Rating 2013.
Russian Startup Rating 2013 is a rating system for Russian startups working in the spheres of IT, high-tech, biotechnology, and medicine.
This rating has been organized by Digital October and the Greenfield Project. The rating will be administered in collaboration with PwC, Russia Beyond the Headlines (RBTH), the Center for the Commercialization of Innovation, the Medstart association, and with the support of the Russian Venture Company (RVC).
The next tally revealing the top 50 projects will be held in May, along with the next results presentation, as part of the Demo Europe conference, which will take place in Moscow on June 3rd-4th.

You can also find more detailed information on the rating criteria of Russian Startup Rating 2013 on the rating website.
Participating startups enjoy the following benefits on the market:
Widespread Media Exposure: Thanks to our partnership with RBTH (the international offshoot of “Rossiskaya Gazeta”) and the A-TAK PR agency, startups that make the top 50 list for each six-month period will be featured in a series of publications about the rating.
The results of Russian Startup Rating 2012 were seen by more than 8.5 million Internet users (results were featured on 75 Internet media channels), and more than 10.6 million print readers. Information about participating startups was published in such newspapers as The Daily Telegraph, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Figaro, and others.
Increased Investment Appeal: By participating in Russian Startup Rating, startups gain visibility with all major industry investors, including angel investors, who are often difficult to reach. Moreover, filling out the form required for participation in the rating and the expert rating to follow will build faith in your startup amongst your investors.
An Understanding of Your Place in the Market and Where You Stand with Your Competitors: Since many different companies of very different types take part in the rating, you’ll always be able to compare your position on the market with that of your competitors, both directly and indirectly.
Furthermore, ratings allow a startup to check its own progress, since rating participants are reevaluated on a regular basis.
This rating is recommended for technological firms that meet the following criteria:
- IT companies should have been founded no more than 4 years ago, high-tech companies – no more than 5 years ago, and biological companies – no more than 6 years ago.
- The company should have no more than 100 employees.
- The company must be registered in Russia and conduct its business here (at least in part).
Projects will be evaluated by taking into consideration the form filled out on our website and the scores of a number of experts, either in absentia or as part of a local gathering of experts.
