Red Hat Tour Moscow

3rd of April , Digital October Center hosted a conference by the Red Hat company – one of the world’s leading innovators in open source corporate IT solutions and sponsor of Fedora, a project for the creation of free Linux distribution.

This was the first time that Moscow has caught the American company's eye, and that is why Russian leg opened Red Hat’s current European tour, which will include 13 cities throughout Europe and the Near East.

The tour program included presentations from the managers and developers of Red Hat, Inc., as well as topical sessions on the following subjects: transitioning a company into an IT architecture built on open source code, using open APIs, transferring applications onto new platforms, and moving businesses onto the “cloud.”

Conference highlights:

  • A demonstration of the possible uses of OpenShift PaaS platforms;
  • Use cases from Red Hat’s clients and partners;
  • A presentation of the strategic solutions Red Hat offers its potential partners.

Red Hat is a publicly-held American IT company that produces and maintains products for the Linux open operating system. Red Hat’s solutions are distributed either for free or on an annual subscription basis. Founded in 1993, the company is now one of the largest developers of Linux solutions and has 30 branches throughout the world. Red Hat also trains system administrators and developers and regularly hosts regional educational and promotional events.
