A Conversation with Daphne Koller

June 24, 2013, 18:00

On June 24 guests of the Digital October Center was presented with the unique opportunity to informally chat with a legend in the world of online education: Stanford professor Daphne Koller, founder of Coursera.org.

She has taken care to set aside some time during her trip to Russia to talk with those interested in the topic of relevant knowledge and distance learning technology, and told them a bit about her idea for that type of learning in addition to the collaboration between Coursera and Digital October.

Those who wished to do so were be able to ask Daphne questions throughout the hour and a half dialogue.

Collaboration between the Digital October Center and Daphne Koller’s project began with her appearance on Knowledge Stream in January of this year? This spring our center became the first official partner of Coursera in Russia, and we currently organize meetings of its Russian students in addition to overseeing the translation of select video resources as part of Coursera’s global content localization program.
