Open edX Master Class: Creating a World-Class Online Course

On February 18th at the Digital October Center, Zachary Kramer and Ildi Morris, senior employees of the educational platform edX, will teach you how to create a world-class online course. This master class is a shortened version of edX’s exclusive training program for universities developing online courses using the platform. The New Professions Laboratory is offering access to this unique and exclusive training.

On the docket:

  • strategies for creating online courses;
  • principles of UX educational courses;
  • an overview of the opportunities provided by the edX platform;
  • step-by-step instructions for course creation (using real-life examples);
  • a half-hour long open discussion with the speakers.


edX is the second-largest online educational platform in the world after Coursera. It is a joint project of the legendary Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Harvard University, and USC Berkeley. edX collects courses from the leading Western universities for use with an international audience.

This event is free and will take place at the Digital October Center. Prior registration is mandatory.
