Fifth Annual Moscow Venture Forum
On December 15th, Digital October hosted the Fifth Annual Moscow Venture Forum.
The Fifth Annual Moscow Venture Forum was the Digital October event with the highest density of investors per square meter. The Forum brought together all participants in the investment process, from developers to business angels and investors at various levels.
The main topics of the forum were, “How to Create an Innovation Company in Russia in an IT Sphere Valued at $1 Billion,” “Venture Capital Financing in Russia: Status and Prospects,” and “Business Angel and Seed Investment.” Also there was a roundtable discussion on “The Role of Large Corporations and Government Agencies in the Country’s Innovative Development,” which included top officials from state corporations and major companies designing innovative development programs: JSC RusHydro, SC Rosatom, SC Rostechnology, JSC Rostelecom, JSC Rusnano, CISCO Systems, Bright Capital, and ZAO MICEX. Presentations were made by A.G. Komissarov, head of Moscow’s Department of Science, Industrial Policy, and Enterprise; I.R. Agamirzyan, CEO of Russian Venture Company; S.G. Polyakov, director general of the Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises in Science and Technology; A.V. Galitsky, managing partner of Almaz Capital Partners; Y.A. Udaltsov, director of innovative development at Rusnano; A.P. Lupachev, investment director at the Skolkovo Foundation; and A.M. Kaliev, head of venture capital business at VTB Capital.
