The RailsClub'Moscow 2012 conference

On September 15, the 11th RailsClub’Moscow 2012 conference, which brought together leading Russian and foreign web developers at Ruby and Ruby on Rails, took place in the Digital October center.

The experts shared their knowledge and experience with the conference participants, discussed new developments, and talked about problems that arise in work and methods for solving them.

At RailsClub 2012, such subjects were discussed as design, development, testing, debugging, and optimization under heavy loads and scaling of Ruby on Rails projects. This year, famous Ruby stars visited the event in the capacity of speakers:

  • Steve Klabnik (United States), the author of Designing Hypermedia Apis and the holder of the Ruby Hero Award 2011;
  • Xavier Noria (Spain), a participant on Rails Core Team and the holder of the Ruby Hero Award 2010;
  • Wynn Netherland (United States), the developer of GitHub and coauthor of @thechangelog and the book Sass, Compass;
  • Dirkjan Bussink (Holland), the developer of Rubinius and DataMapper;
  • Sau Sheong Chang (Singapore), the author of the books Ruby on Rails Web Mashup Projects and Cloning Internet Applications with Ruby and director of applied research at HP Labs.

The talks of the foreign guests were accompanied by simultaneous translation in Russian.
