Founder Institute: What's in a Startup for Me?

January 22, 2015, 18:00 lecture

Friends, the Founder Institute, the largest accelerator in the world, is getting ready to kick off a new semester. Lessons will begin on January 26, 2015, with the support of the Digital October Center.

As we stand on the cusp of the new season, Adeo Ressi, who founded the Founder Institute, will speak live from Silicon Valley. The online broadcast of “Why Startup Now, or What's in a Startup for Me?” will start on January 22 at 6 pm in the Digital October Center's Little Hall.

We will talk about how startups differ from traditional businesses in times of crisis, whether it is worth getting involved with one now, which niche to choose, and how to combine your 9-5 job with your new project. Adeo will discuss global trends making their way through the global startup movement as well as how to work, get started, and be successful during a crisis.

The second half of the meeting will feature a short talk on the Founder Institute program and discussions with some of the entrepreneur community's success stories.

Have your questions ready ahead of time on selecting a niche, researching your market, putting together goals and assignments, naming, the legal side of things, creating a financial model, and assembling a team.

See you at the Digital October space on Thursday from 6 pm to 8 pm!
