IBM SmartCamp Finale

During the final stage of IBM SmartCamp, held on June 17-18 at the Digital Octo-ber Center, five startups competed presenting their products.

SinproTEK, provider of innovative energy-efficient solutions for utilities and oil & gas industry, demonstrated the highest development potential, both on domestic and interna-tional markets. Now the company will be engaged in the three-month mentorship program provided by IBM and will participate in one of IBM SmartCamp events in Europe.

AngioScan-Electronics, developer of healthcare solutions for early diagnosis and monitoring of socially significant diseases, was named the best in “Internet users’ choice” cat-egory, based on online vote available during live stream.

Within IBM SmartCamp event, Russian and international leading industry experts, such as Deborah Magid, Director of software strategy, IBM Venture Capital Group, Mauricio Sucasas, Director of ISV and Developer Relations, IBM Growth Markets, Kirill Korniliev, General Manager, IBM East Europe and Asia, Alexey Komissarov, Head of Science, Industrial Policy and Entrepreneurship, Moscow Government, Alexandra Johnson, Managing Director, Draper Fisher Jurvetson VTB Capital Aurora, and many other experts gathered together to dis-cuss the future of technology entrepreneurship in Russia.

SmartCamp is part of IBM’s Global Entrepreneur program, designed to give exposure, resources and connections to well deserving startups. Participants can access IBM software and hardware free of charge, get technical enablement support, receive consulting and assistance in terms of project promotion. The program for Russia was introduced in 2012 to-gether with RVC.
