On October 18th, the Digital October Center played host to the second day of Edcrunch, the international conference for new educational technologies. This conference was the first large-scale event aimed at combining the worlds of IT and education. The Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys, the Edutainme.ru online journal, and the Digital October Center will act as the event’s organizers.
Conference participants was enjoy topical discussions and workshops designed to create a deeper understanding of what clients want out of educational services. The discussion was also focus on new technologies aimed at increasing educational quality and efficiency. In addition, presentations was given by renowned international speakers and experts in the field of digital education.
The conference was also feature an ‘alley’ of ed-tech startups where developers of educational apps and services had the opportunity to receive feedback and expert opinions regarding their projects.
The second day’s program was feature the following topics:
Big Data: what the data, adaptability, and ecosystem of an educational project can tell you about it;
Digital pedagogy: mixed educational models, mobile learning, transitioning to 1:1;
Digital Learning Environments: online educational environments, collaborative learning;
New professions and skills: professionally oriented services and educational portfolios.
