RMA Open Doors Day
On February 18th, innovative educational company RMA held an open doors day at Digital October. The program included a presentation from the Department of Music Business and Entertainment Industry Management, as well a discussion, “Direct Connection to the Internet Industry,” from the Department of Internet Industry Management. The presentation by the Department of Music Business and Entertainment Industry Management began at 12:00 PM. It included workshops with permanent faculty members: Channel One: Worldwide Network Executive Director Mikhail Egorov and Oleg Nesterov, CEO of record company Snegiri Music.
Mikhail Egorov’s workshop was entitled, “The Market for Entertainment and Media: We Can’t Live Without Each Other.” Mikhail discussed how a manager on the entertainment market interacts with the press and how, with the help of the media, to make events memorable and vivid.
Oleg Nesterov’s workshop, entitled “The Present and Future of the Music Industry,” focused on the modern history of the music business. From two opposing viewpoints – as a musician and sound producer – Oleg talked about how the industry is built now and what will happen in the future.
“Direct Connection to the Internet Industry,” the second event of its kind in the history of the Department of Internet Industry Management, run parallel, beginning at 13:00. “Direct Connection” is an open discussion of hot topics with top IT industry managers. The speakers included Yuri Sinodov, the founder and editor-in-chief of the portal Roem.ru; Sonya Sokolova, co-owner and editor-in-chief of the portal Zvuki.Ru; Grigory Bakunov, deputy head of the Development Department at Yandex; and many others. The participants talked about web projects of the future and discussed the new requirements for specialists implementing these projects.
“Direct Connection” visitors participated in a workshop on “Special Features of Motivating IT Professionals” from Konstantin Kondratyuk, CEO of ITrening.rf and an instructor at Carnegie Mellon University. The workshop took an interactive form with business game elements.
After the workshops, all event guests were able to talk with RMA faculty, alumni, and students, as well as learn about admissions, the features of the educational process, and the competitive advantages for graduates of the Department of Music Business and Entertainment Industry Management and Department of Internet Industry Management professional training programs.
