Chain Reaction. Mobile services
On April 20 Digital October hosted the second Chain Reaction event concerning upgrade of technology companies to next level of development using crowdsourcing. Mobile Services was the topic of the forthcoming Chain Reaction. Non-gaming mobile applications for iOs and Android platforms were welcome to participate. Experts at the variety of business spheres as well as offline and online audience gave advices and made proposals to startups.
What does Chain Reaction offer to startups?
- Organized, clever crowdsourcing, that gives an essence of useful advices from experts of various specializations and creative, intelligent audience. The event will be broadcasted on-line thus giving on-line audience opportunity to take part in the discussion via twitter. Foreign experts could contribute to discussion using telepresence technology.
- Deep study of the industry in whole which is possible through careful selection of participating projects of one industry and involvement of specialized experts.
- Media exposure thanks to the special project with Slon.ru. With the participation and support of Slon.ru journalists, not only videos and texts from the event are published at the portal, but also news concerning subsequent project development after its participation in Chain Reaction.
Startups that have passed prototype creation and first customer attraction stage and are currently prepare for business scaling and additional investment are welcome to participate in the event. Chain Reaction will be most useful for such projects as it will make possible to esteem the real development stage with all of its faults and achievements as well as to point out existing opportunities of business development.
Three companies make speeches at every event of Chain Reaction cycle. Every company makes 10-minutes presentation then projects discussion starts which is lead by experts and the event hosts.
Discussion consists of three parts: product and its technical aspects; business-model and investment obtaining; marketing, markets and competition. All comments and advices to the project which are made during the discussion are recorded for their further review and use.
Audience takes active part in discussion. That concerns both real Chain Reaction audience (which is present at the hall and talk with project team and experts) and its virtual part (who watch online broadcast and send their advices via twitter with hashtag #inchain). We welcome entrepreneurs, IT-companies and venture funds specialists as well as journalists writing on technological issues, as our spectators.
Crowdsourcing was coordinated by Dmitry Repin, Digital October CEO and Anton Abashkin, senior manager at High-Tech and Innovation Center of PwC. All advices received were displayed at interactive board in the hall, and then summarized in a presentation that will be published at Digital October website.
Advises and proposals received by startups at Chain Reaction
