Brainstorming on a Set Topic: The Judicial Internet

November 10, 2011, 13:00 conference

On November 10th, the Digital October Center hosted the first event in the Brainstorming on a Set Topic series. Participants in the session discussed how to ensure that citizens have seamless internet access to information about judicial activity.

The event was organized by an NGO, the Public Committee on Judicial Transparency, with the participation of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation.

The brainstorming format entailed:

  • an intensive discussion of the shortage of tools to inform citizens about the work of the courts;
  • working on proposals to develop a “judicial internet” in the foreseeable future.

IT specialists with experience working with government agency databases and legal information systems participated in the roundtable. They identified priority areas for developing online resources for the judiciary community and discussed how specialized electronic media representatives can help with this, as well as judicial system employees themselves.
