Taking The Russian Public Initiative Live

On April 2nd, the Digital October Center hosted a demonstration of the Russian Public Initiative’s Internet platform ("ROI" in Russian), a resource designed to collect and rate civil initiatives. The most popular ideas will be considered by the Russian government.

Event participants got an overview of the service’s basic operating principles, its structure, and its capabilities. Those who already had accounts on gosuslugi.ru pitched their initiatives at the event.

The Russian Public Initiative is an online system introduced by Vladimir Putin for the public presentation and balloting of proposals from Russian citizens. The government will consider all proposals garnering the support of at least 100,000 citizens.
