RMA Open Doors Day: Internet Technology Management
On September 24th, the Digital October Center hosted the RMA Open Doors Day educational program, “Internet Technology Management” . Representatives of the internet industry will discuss opportunities for professional education and how to overcome staff shortages in the industry, and will also answer questions from the audience.
Teachers and graduates of the Internet Industry Management program shared their experiences: Head of Google Russia Vladimir Dolgov, Yandex Director of Customer Services Nikolai Shestakov, and CEO of Groupon Russia Anna Berezovskaya. Other speakers will include representatives from the start-up community, e-commerce, and the offline sector. Vitaly Akimov, founder of the project Startup Point, described why not all startups “take off” like Google did. Davlet Suleimanov, managing partner of the online business literature boutique Boffo, explained what rules are developing in the e-commerce market and how not to go amiss of them. Irina Mitrofanova, managing director of publishing house Arguments and Facts explained how offline projects feel in a digital environment. Yuri Sinodov, editor-in-chief and founder of Roem.ru, led an impromptu talk show.
During the afternoon on Open Doors Day, Damir Khalilov, head of the social media marketing agency GreenPR (Euroset, Pepsi, Qwerty, etc), led a workshop entitled, “Promotion and PR in New Media.” The program also included an introduction to the managers and founders of internet projects, consultations from the heads of advertising and marketing agencies, and the online participation of RMA alumni from Silicon Valley.
